At the beginning of the 1970s the entrepreneur Silvano Cinelli (from whose initials the name CIESSE is derived) had the bright idea of specialising in tech sportswear at a time when the competition had little to offer. The result soon transformed the family business into a limited company. The 1980s and 1990s were golden years – who does not remember the "Christmas Holiday" puffer jacket? Sporting types, actors and young Italian urbanites wear Ciesse Piumini. Loud colours and tech fabrics are the core business of the Italian firm. In its latest collection Ciesse proposes an innovative concept that reinterprets the shape and structure of the tech item, evoking the historical archive of the past. Typical of this is the 100g down jacket which represents the most versatile product that anyone can have, warm but light, with a practicality in tune with today's trends.
